Good-bye Christmas 2010

Packed up today and said goodbye to Christmas 2010 today. Everything is boxed, bagged and stacked in our cold storage room. It is sad not having the twinkling lights up and all the festive colors around. The good part is not constantly eating rich, heavenly food. The question I asked myself was did I celebrate the real meaning of the season? We bought goats, she, medicine, school supplies for those less fortunate. We helped a fourteen year old new mom clothe and feed her new baby after she went to live with her grandma when she was kicked out of her home. My husband put money in the Salvation Army kettles and we tithes more generously to our church. Christmas isn't only about us and our family but reaching out and being God's hand extended into a suffering and hurting world. Thank you Lord that we the money and the means to help others this season. I am truly grateful to help out and make a difference in someone's life.
