Had to put my mother-in-law in a different nursing home yesterday. Wow! She was not a happy camper. Her behaviour was deplorable and her language censored! I felt disappointed with her deplorable conduct but then I had to stop and look at things through her eyes. She has give up her authority over her life and probably was very scared that this might be her last move here on earth. I prayed for her yesterday and all night long that she would have peace, favour and a sense of God's presence in her room with her. Some day that will be me in her shoes and I will begin praying now for the grace, humility and courage it takes to make a that change in my own life. We all have to come to terms with the fact that we will be homeless and in the care of someone else in our later years.
God bless our seniors. God keep them and hold them and give them comfort. Some day I hope somebody will be praying for me when it is my turn.
Dancing shoes are requirement here. Living life to its fullest a must! Be savvy, be teachable and learn all that you can. Read lots, invest in things of the heart and laugh hysterically. Spin and twirl, not out of control, but to feel the wind on your cheeks and your hair spiraling like an ocean wave. Feel the music, dance to the beat, engage in life, be free and never ever give up! Dance with life.
