feeling the buzz yet?

Oh my, this is a busy time of the year and it usually all ends up on our shoulders. Buying, wrapping, decorating, preparing for the huge family meal.....no wonder we get exhausted and have to lie down. Although it is fun, and important to our families I just wish there was a time to take it slowly, enjoy the season more, bond more over coffee and Christmas cake. We have made this special celebration into a very, very stressful time. We buy gifts for people with money we don't have for people who often do not appreciate the time and effort it takes to pull it all off. I would like to change this time into gatherings that bond us, simple gifts that come from the heart and especially reaching out to others in need. We are so blessed but so spoiled aren't we? Do we really appreciate the true meaning of the season. Jesus is that meaning. It is His birthday we celebrate but many people don't even acknowledge why we have this holiday. Happy birthday Jesus...you lived in humble, simple times and I pray those times can resonate in our families.
