Abby had a happy day today. I had to go out and do a follow-up to my cataract surgery yesterday and when I returned her whole body smiled at me. I had surgery yesterday, had a weird night sleeping with a plastic patch over my left eye and then had to go out to the doctor looking kind of like a pirate undercover. No matter, I am sooooooo grateful for the operation, my doctor who was awesome, the organized hospital staff and my husband who was my chauffeur/comforter/friend through this procedure. My Amy and Kaden were awesome as they babysat Abby and taxied too and from school. Thank you all for your prayers and kind words as I underwent this event in my life. When this is all healed and finished it will be time for eye number two to get a new look. One eye at a time is the method and I will be so happy when I can finally see clearly to drive this summer.
