Better late than never

The Internet is acting wonky today so I am getting a later start. Abby had the best night so far. She played a lot with Eden last night which tired her out more I think. She woke up around three and tore off into the kitchen to "go". I have been sleeping on the couch this last little while, number one - not to constantly disrupt hubby's sleep as he has to get up early for work and secondly I need to clean up and sometimes give Abby a little snack of kibble to get her through the night. Puppies are like newborn kids with no sense of timing and little bodies that work 24/7. In the daytime after she correctly goes on the paper I praise her and give her a tiny piece of puppy milk bone as a reward. Last night after she zoomed full tilt into the kitchen to "do her business" I could hear her pause....think man, where is my treat? I had left her bowl of kibble near her water dish so as she turned to come back to me she visited her kibble, grabbed a piece of it, rewarded herself and bounded back to me. I laughed right out loud. What a girl! I hugged her, kissed her, told her what a good girl she was and tucked her back in bed. She has melted my heart. Have a great day and kiss your pets today!
