I did it! Abby now has something new....

I cannot believe I actually did this but I did.  I went ahead and bought a dog purse for my little Abby.  She is so small that if I take her out somewhere or in the car it could not only be dangerous for her but for me, the driver, as well.  I put her inside and  carried her around the house the last few days and she seems alright with it.  I am going to purchase a doggie sling for her too so I can slip her in it while there is busy traffic in the kitchen in the mornings or at dinner time.  I find she always  loves to be close - like on your heels- between your feet- or under your feet and she can get hurt so at those times if I "sling her" she will be part of the activity but not at risk of being stepped on.  She is a feisty little girl.  Last night I said I should have called her pimple because she was being so naughty.  She attacks Eden in playful ways, hangs on to her fur and won't give up.  She has a brave heart for one so small and enjoys the challenge of rough-housing with the bigger guys.  I actually had to intervene last night and put her on time out. Poor Eden thought she had done something wrong but I assured her she did not have to hang in there and no one is going to hurt another.  I felt like a referee at the wrestling match.  Yesterday, Elijah, our sometimes grouchy Godfather, brought one of Abby's toys to me and wanted to play.  I nearly fainted.  I sat on the floor with him and threw the little toy as he grabbed it and shook his little head  growling as and hung on.  I really think having the new little girl in our home is re-energizing the  whole pack and our family.  The dogs eat together off the same plate, curl up together to sleep and best of all are learning to play gently and enjoy each other's company,  I am so grateful that Abby is being so readily accepted into our family of pets.  It's funny I thought I would have to aware of the older dogs nipping her  or being aggressive towards her, when in fact, I find myself protecting them from our tiny munchkin with teeth.  Have a great weekend everyone.  Will try to keep your updated as the saga of Abby continues throughout the weekend.  Kiss your pets today as they are a gift to you and your family.  Blessings to all.
