Lazy Friday

There's baby Abby just waking up this morning and trying to focus in on her day.  She slept on the hem of the comforter last night and instead of moving her into her own bed I just gently laid her soft blue blanket over her.  I was indeed her "kinsman redeemer" last night....covering her with the hem of the garment on the comforter.  She slept well and this morning after she realized she was  on the floor jumped up on the side of the couch and wanted up. She covered me with a thousand good morning kisses, snuggled in and went back to sleep on my chest.  I covered her again and just enjoyed the puppy contact  and love that she was omitting to me.
  She is a girl who knows what she wants and has a super brave little heart inside of her.  You have to make sure she is safe all the time as she has no problem just walking off into space off the couch or bed.  I have "puppy proofed" the kitchen/family room area and can leave her unattended with no worry of her getting hurt.  The other dogs don't know it (and I won't tell them) that they are babysitting her while I disappear for a few minutes.  They certainly keep their eyes on her and are upset if I put her in her basket (for safety sake) and she squeaks and tries to get out.  All in all we have a great day ahead of us.  She is eating like a little trooper,  hitting the newspaper more than missing it, and is a wonderful extension of our family.
