This is how Abby is choosing to sleep these days. She gets behind Elijah on his pillow and uses his back (or tummy) for her pillow. Who can blame her? He is soft and spongey, warm as a little furnace and never moves when he sleeps. He does snore though which does not seem to bother her one little bit. I think she can hear his little heart beating (like her mom's) and that gives her peace and comfort. We all need an Elijah in our life to snuggle up with. He usually is quite the crotchety guy being the alpha male of all the dogs in our family he is exposed to but Abby seems to have touched his heart. He lets her crawl all over him and even tries to play with her toys when they are presented to him. His patience is evident when she gathers all the toys and deposits them right in the middle of his cushion. He takes it all in stride and just plunks himself down right on top of toy mountain. They both have Yorkshire Terrier in them so maybe they can sense the breed connection in each other. Abby has brought out a more tolerant and loving side in him that is beautiful to watch.
