the great getaway

  Nothing is more exciting (and relaxing) than a weekend getaway with beautiful friends.  I had the opportunity this weekend to just disappear from my life and enter a brand new one.  It was so much fun just to be "girls" again.  These girls have been my friends since public school so we always just pick up in our conversations where we left off last visit.  We know each other intimately, have no competition or one-up-man-ship and it is a lovely place to be.  We can then relax, be silly, laugh our heads off and have fun.

  We went to Niagara on the Lake and it was a beautiful spot to land.  Here is the place we stayed in complete with a gourmet breakfast every morning.  We looked out onto the water and there was much peace and serenity which was just what I needed after such a busy household that I had left behind.  Here are some photos of the place and I will tell you more details about our trip tomorrow.

The place was lovely, clean and well-kept.  The food fabulous.  The company the best.  I was so grateful to have a change to get away and be pampered like a queen for the weekend.  Have a great day.  Abby survived.  I was so worried about her as this was the first time that I had left her.  I am such a "doggie" mother.  She was ecstatic to see me on my return....and I have to confess I was too.  She is my little baby and I love her so.
