Tonight I have to drop Abby Rose off at the vet's clinic before 6 p.m. She is scheduled to be spayed and will have to remain there for two whole nights away from me and her family. I am a nervous wreck thinking of being apart from her for the length of time. She is my little baby girl and so attached to me (and me to her). We do everything together. We play, cook, garden, hang out, sleep in the same room, laugh and dance together....how will I cope?
There will be the car ride over there. She is not too excited about the car and I will need one of my two-legged kids to help me with that. She will need loving arms, warm cuddles and much praise and encouragement along the journey to the clinic. Both of my kids signed up to help.
Then there will be the prepping for the event by the veterinarian. She will be all alone and frightened without us being there. She is scheduled for surgery first thing Thursday morning. She will be groggy and want to rest for Thursday so that should take care of that day. I can pick her up on Friday sometime and bring her home to heal amongst those who love her so.
She will not be happy at first when she arrives and probably very sore from her ordeal. We must take care and precautions with her and prepare her little bed to curl up in. I intend to pack some of her
favourite toys and her blankie to accompany her to the clinic to let her know she is loved and our fragrance will surround her.
In a short while she will be back to her old self again. She loves life, is curious, adventurous and a wee bit naughty (which is what I love so much about her and why I chose her). Please pray for my little flurry bundle that she will get through this milestone in her life and get back to normal quickly. Thank you so much.
