Youngest son departed today for his last year of high school. Where does the time go? Seems like only yesterday he was anxious and stressed because he was entering the higher learning community being a lowly grade niner and now he is at the top of ladder.
I have taken a photo of him every first day of school since kindergarden and today he reminded me of that ritual. "Mom, I'll get the camera." You sometimes wonder if they might have outgrown that tradition. I purposely did not ask but was thrilled when he took the initiative and found the camera. I watched him walk down the driveway to his waiting ride and he turned around and actually waved good-bye to me. Wow.....good thing. Another chapter ending in our life!
Just wanted to up-date you with a picture of Abby Rose and let you see how nicely her fur is coming back in. She is such a toad this morning. We are doomed to be indoors today because of stormy weather so she is tormenting her sibling doggies by racing around the house, pulling their ears and tails, and stealing their toys. She likes to get things going.
If you had little ones who went off to school today or grandkids that are stepping out into the educational world be sure to connect with them to night and find out how things went. They will have plenty of stories and emotions to share about their first big day. They will appreciate a listening ear and a hug of support to cheer them into day two.
Have an awesome day (rain or shine) and remember to kiss your pets. I will try to do that with mine if they slow down and I can catch them. Can't forget to go pick up my kid this afternoon because I am no longer in summer mode myself. Be blessed.
