We live on a greenbelt and at the bottom of the belt is a river and from that environment comes these rats! Someone in our neighbourhood has been putting out rat poison to kills these creatures and guess what? Last week Eden ingested some rat poison and she started bleeding out. It was blood coming from both ends. We were mortified. We quickly got into the vet and after examinations, blood work, multiple visits there, not to mention, a ton of $ spent, he verified that she was indeed poisoned by rat poison! We have diligently been monitoring her and giving her her meds.
This morning Abby Rose went out into the back yard to "do her business" and came up the porch steps and into the house with a newly dead rat! In the meantime Moses started throwing up and passing blood....so guess what? .... those two dogs found themselves at the vet's office this morning.
What a situation! We now have to visit neighbours and find out who is setting out the poison and hopefully they will stop and set traps instead. Rat poison is deadly! Rat poison is a horrible way to die! Can you imagine if my grandbabies had been in the back yard and found those thing?
Please pray for the health and healing of our little puppies. Please pray that the Lord will protect them and lead those rats away from our property so we can all be safe. Please pray that who ever is giving out this rat poison will stop and come to realize the danger. It is not just to the rats but to the other animals in the area as well.
