Taking all three little dogs out to the vet is like harnessing a whirlwind. There are the collars, harnesses, leashes, poopy bags etc. Of course we only needed three and we have four dogs. Poor Elijah had to be left behind because of the sheer magnitude of the operation! He was not happy.
We stuffed them all in the backseat of Amy's beetle and off we went to get confirmation that healing is indeed taking place. The news is good! The dogs are on the mend and our pocket book is flat. Eden has to go back next Thursday for a platelet count but the others are free from the doctor's scrutiny.
I now have to monitor the dogs in the back yard each time they go out because of this rat problem. This is an inconvenience but so necessary. I will not complain. I have dogs alive to do that with.
I am so glad that it is the weekend. I am grateful for my doggie's health and well-being. I am glad we had the money to get the dogs looked after and get their medication. I am glad that I had a wake-up call to cherish my pets even more and take nothing for granted.

God is good. Rat poison is bad. I need to have some quiet time this weekend, curl up with my Bible and commune with the greatest healer of all.....the Lord Jesus. I am grateful for Him and for life.
