I am looking for the world's best Christmas tree. I truly want an artificial one and one that comes pre-lit. My dilemma is? Should I use last year's old tree, fire it up (not literally) and enjoy it for one more year and THEN after Christmas go to a fine nursery store and buy a very, very expensive tree for half price or more to use for next year? My instinct tells me to wait and find that perfect tree after the holidays. (Also I am cheap and like a great deal.)
I love the look and smell of a real fresh-cut tree but feel so bad when I see them cast to the curb after Christmas to be picked up by the trash man. Seems like such a waste. That little tree took some years to grow and to use it for just a few short weeks seems unthinkable to me. Thus I am going for the fake. Fake tree, fake fur, fake whatever is always good and lasts forever.
Pray that the perfect tree will have an encounter with me and I will recognize it, adopt it and bring it to a good home where it will be well loved and cherished. Hurray for the Christmas tree! (Notice I did not call it a holiday tree) It is indeed a Christmas tree because the Christ in Christmas is what the season is all about. Blessings to you all today. Get on your knees and start now!
