Ok I must confess....I am an interrupter. It is a bad, bad habit and I am trying to overcome it. When someone talks my brain gets churning and I come up with a million ideas and words to interject into their speech. It is not an endearing quality. I find I have a brain explosion and out comes the words in a torrent of power that cuts that person right off in mid-sentence. Ouch!!! Sorry!! The worst part? They do not get to finish their thoughts and I don't either because I am overriding what they are saying. I want to learn to be quieter and learn to listen to what other people have to say....right to the end of their sentence. I will work on this in the future and practise it daily. It is hard when your imagination is in gear and your thoughts are popping like popcorn in your brain. All that is good but you need to control and reign in those happening until it's your turn to speak and that's where I have my downfall.
I promise to do better. I promise to be mindful that what other people speak is important. I promise to be still and listen first....respond later.
