The other day my hubby blessed me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. There were lilies, two colours of roses, azaleas, pussy willows, and greenery....just a magnificent display of God's handiwork. I was arranging them in the vases when I dropped the ribbon that had encircled that precious gift. Abby Rose took one look at the colourful bundle, lunged, chomped and took off at breakneck speed across the kitchen with her "prey." She swirled it, twirled it, crawled inside of it, tangled herself inside the rainbow of colour. She must have played with it for at least an hour. Moses and Eden decided she was having too much fun and joined in. They played tag, tug of war, hide the ribbon and all just had a blast. I looked at the simplicity of their antics. I observed how something so throw-away to me was a treasure to them. I realized you can take very little and turn it into a grand occasion. I finally had to go and rescue her from her ribbon web of joy. My husband asks, "What does the puppy do for you?" My answer is still, "She makes my heart smile." Enjoy the gift of your pets today. Blessings to everyone!
