Today is hubby's birthday....really the day

It seems we have been celebrating my husband's birthday for days....because we have. Kids came over Sunday to a beautiful luncheon here, yesterday friends gathered to celebrate, and today we have to party because finally it is THE day! How blessed we are to honour the person who is having a birthday. It is a time to express our love and well-wishes plus give them that gift that we know they will love. The kids did a good job on the gift end of things and we all pitched in with the food. We try to plan and serve family favourites so it is truly memorable when we all sit down to eat at the table. I always have the camera ready to snap another- year -gone -by memory plus I display past years of the fun times we shared on his birthday. It always ends up in giggles and wide-eyes as we see how gracefully we've age (yeah right) and remember last year's presents. Birthdays are a special tims in anyone's life. Be sure to fuss, love on and document each birthday that comes along. Life is short, birthdays add up and we need to let that person know how special and loved they are. It is family tradition that the birthday boy/girl succumb to humiliation as pictures are taken and laughter erupts whist donning "THE HAT".
