Anyhow, I do digress, it is Friday and things are running smoothly here. Abby goes and gets her stitches out today and then next Sunday she will be groomed for the first time. Oh my. She will have to be practically shaved because her baby fur is tangled with her adult fur so I think she will have to be "shorn." Once the knots are taken off I will meticulously bath and brush her daily so that will not happen again. She is like a shaggy little mop these days and runs, rolls, and races around the garden between the bushes. (no wonder her coat is tangled). I will take photos of the before and after to show you and she probably will look like a little rat for a while until her coat starts to grow out.
She is mending well after her surgery and getting back to her naughty little self. She follows me everywhere and seems to be stuck to me like a piece of velcro. She will literally wake up and tear off to see where I am...once she finds me she settles down at my feet and falls back to sleep. We are attached by love. She gives me run-by sloppy kisses and wants to be in my presence all the time. I am blessed.
Once her hair is off I can get her back into her t-shirts and clothes and she will not be so hot from having all that long-haired coat. I cannot wait. I have ordered her some cute summer necklaces too which will look great against her new clean, short fur.
