Sunday was the day that little Abby Rose got groomed for the first time. She used to have long flowing hair but because her fine, silky puppy hair intertwined with her adult more coarse hair and she became all matted and tangled. I asked the groomer to please have mercy and try and keep as much of her long hair as he could. He gently ran his fingers through her coat and looked up at me and shook his head.....I knew she was doomed for an all out shave. I knew she would look like a little sheep that has been shorn to the max. I hesitantly a handed her over and knew she would look like a totally different dog when she re-appeared back inside my house. I was right. Here are the before and after pictures of my little darling....her heart is still the same...I still love her but I do miss her sassy, long-haired look.

Here she is afterwards.....ready for it? My shaggy little princess is now all lanky and bare.....
My little plucked chicken will now be wearing all her t-shirts and summer dresses not to make a fashion statement but to keep her warm and secure. Thank the Lord hair grows back and soon she will be her naughty, spunky self again. Nice to be able to see her eyes though. Go kiss your pets today - those with hair and those with not. Blessings.
