I have two little parrotlets. The green one 's name is Bobby and the blue one's name is Skye Blu. They are out of their cage most of the day in the kitchen playing around on their swings, ladders, and dipping in the bath that I have provided for them. They chirp and flap and generally love life. The last picture up top shows three little Russian dwarf hamsters that belong to my kids. You know...oh mom they are so cute , oh mom we would love to have them as pets...and on and on and on. O.k. now they are in my kitchen and I must admit they are cute little dudes. My kids named them , "Paul" (like one of the Beatles), Eli (from the Bible and because he is so roll-polly) and Jehosaphat (because you guessed it, he is a fat little ball).
Sometimes during the day I will put the hamster cage on the table beside the parrotlets and watch the fun . Bobby and Skye hop from their cage onto the hamster's cage. They try to arouse them from their naps ashams ters are nocturnal. My little parrotlets try to poke and sing and break them out of their cage to come and play. The hamsters climb up and try to connect with the birds and it is quite a site. How fun! Bobby gets Skye and they prance around the table then run over to the side and peek over to see what is happening on the floor. I love that they are contained in their space and never very often fly off to explore further. I do always monitor them and if I leave the house or go upstairs and downstairs I lock them in their home. I never say to my birds get into your cage....I always say you have to go home now and they happily get inside and swing away. They are a blessing and I love them. Have a great day and go kiss your pets today!
