Don't you love clever, witty people? Look at the quote this morning from Groucho Marx....he wasn't just a pretty face. You have to be careful with with though. You may something that you think is really "smart" and it may turn you into a "smarty mouth." There is a difference.
Try to use your words with clarity and purpose. Stop and think before you blurt out something that may be hurtful or offensive to someone else. Humour can be a two-edged sword....what is funny to one person can cut deeply into another person's heart.
I love to laugh and have fun. I love people who can give a quip back instantly or "think on their feet" as my dad used to say. Actually he was one of those people....but he never hurt people's feelings. He was liked by people everywhere, and my mom was always amazed when we were in remote places that people would come out of no where and say....well look who's here and call my dad by name. He had a people gift. He loved to give hugs and winks that were huge. He laughed and gently affirmed people by tapping them on the back. He was musical and loved to dance. Our home was always filled with singing and crowds of people. Our home was always open to everyone and they usually stayed for dinner.
Wit is awesome. Hospitality rules. Love abounds. Try all of these recipes today to people you know. Bless you and have an awesome day!
