I love, love, love this time of year. You see many camps of people out there: those who grump and grumble at the season, those who are indifferent and just want it to go away, those who hate it and want to kill not only the holiday but the spirit of the holiday and people like me who throw open their arms and embrace this magical, fun-loving holiday! I just wish people who are against it would go away and keep their opinions to themselves and not try wrecking it for people like me.
The spirit of Christmas is so strong that surely these old Scrooges must see that something is up at this time of year. I do agree though that Christmas has gone far, far to commercial and I would like to reign that in and have it focus more on the real meaning of the season all wrapped in family love and giving.
Our kids went out and got a real tree this year. Remember this?
Yeah, kind of looks a little like that. It is beautiful, don't get me wrong but tilts a bit to the right in it's stand. I just tell people to tilt their heads to left when they go up out stairs to see it and all will be well. :) It has a good home and is well loved. The cats and dogs visit it daily and Abby Rose actually took her bone up there and chomped under the tree. Good girl. Outdoors brought inside. She got it.
If you haven't already get into the Christmas spirit and be happy. Bailey's really helps for that. It really is such a short time so immerse yourself in the frivolity.
Frivolity at it's peek is shared frivolity. Go ahead. Indulge. Laugh. Sing. Invite. Be invited. This soon will pass and we will staring stark January in the eyes. Go ahead and light up your world...after all .... it's Christmas time! Blessings to all and to all a good day!
