It's not easy being green....but it is fun!

My little green male parrotlet, Bobby Mack, is the cutest little guy.  He sings and dances to music and defiantly flies around my kitchen when he is out of his cage.  I had originally clipped he and Skye's wings but decided to let them have their flight feathers to see what they would do.  They take short trips here and there and always end up back on their cage.  Bobby sometimes looks at me out of the corner of his eye as he swoops passed me and makes my hair flutter.  Little stinker.

One thing they both love is broccoli.  Yesterday I gave them some fresh, green broccoli and they dove into it with glee.  Here is photo I caught of Bobby chomping happily away without a care in the world.

Notice that he is the exact shade of green as his meal.  LOL!  He also has a green pepper beside him that he munches on (especially the seeds and inner part).  The other strange thing you may notice in the photo is that I give them corks to shred.  I went onto Ebay and ordered used, natural corks.  Now who knew that they would be available?   I then stick the corks through their cage slots and they are thrilled to shred and break down those corks until there is nothing left of them.  I don't know if they can taste some wine residue on them but I am sure they would be happy with that too.

They are a great little couple and very, very soon I am going to give them a nest box to see if they can produce some little ones. Bobby is green and Skye Blue is, well, blue and what cute babies that would make.  We'll see.

Have a brilliant day and go hug your pets.  Blessings.
