Abby is like a magnet when it comes to dirt and grime. She runs in the backyard and when I pick her up to bring her back inside she has sticks/grass/plus lots of unidentifiable clutter in her coat of hair. She loves to runs and play and gathers sticks and stones to chew on. Yesterday she found a little bone that Moses had hidden last fall to entertain herself. She is a force to behold.
My hubby turned on the sprinkler and guess who discovered that water drops are soooo fun to jump up and lick?....why little Abby of course. She got throughly wet and then proceeded to go dig in the garden. I had to laugh. She has such an adventurous spirit and gets her nose into everything. At the end of her playtime I just picked her up and headed for the kitchen sink. The water was actually brown when I finished scrubbing her down. I towelled her off and put her hoodie on to keep her warm. It actually kind of looked like a spa-robe and she curled into it until she was dried off. Oh she is a cutie pie. I am going to have to get her groomed and all her fluff removed because little knots are forming in her coat. If she is not off exploring she is playing and tussling with her older adopted siblings. She runs and challenges them until her tongue is hanging out.
She never stops. Life is an adventure. Life is good. She will be going short-haired this summer and then I will grow her coat out for the winter months. Either way - short or long- she is still my baby girl and I love her. Kiss your pets today.
