Garden time today

  I went out to put an item at the curb as it is garbage day and ended up staying out two hours.  I looked at our front garden and said.....holy.....gosh....this needs to TLC.  I rolled up my sleeves and jumped in.  It is such a creative and satisfying experience to shape a beautiful garden.  I pulled and clipped and threw away.  I sweated and yanked and tugged.  Success.  Now it is ready to add more rich soil and buy some plants to install into it.  I feel so satisfied with my hard work.  I am going to head back out tomorrow and the next day until I am sure it looks just right.  Gardening is calming and exhilarating at the same time.  There is something soothing about digging around in the soil and envisioning the beauty that will come forth in the near future.  I am blessed to own a piece of God's earth that I can putter around in and lose myself in the moment.  Have an awesome day everyone and go kiss your pets.
