Wrapping it all up

Wrapping gifts can be either stressful or lots of fun.  I personally put on Christmas songs, grab a small glass of Bailey's and am good to go.  I find another stress reliever is to have all the tools you need gathered before you get started.  Scissors, ribbon, tape, tags are placed on a tray so that I can keep them there for a while while the wrapping season is in play.  I also can hand that tray over to other family members without hearing...."Mom where is the ????  I can't find the ???? "  Pro-activity is the best.

Here are some cute ideas I borrowed to show you regarding wrapping gifts.

A few years ago I wrapped all our presents in newspaper.  I wrapped the kids with the cartoon section, the guys with the sports section etc.  I then went to the dollar store and bought oversized red/green bows and plunked them on top.  Under the tree these gifts looked so great,  all co-ordinated and inexpensive to make.  After the presents were opened we used the wrapping in our fireplace and we burnt it guilt-free. Great idea.

If you can find economically priced small scarves or napkins throughout the year on sale you can buy some up and use them as eco-friendly wrap for Christmas.  These packages look expensive and funky and are a huge hit.  Of course they can be re-used year after year.

As as alternative to the standard bow you can go to the dollar store and buy cheap decorations to place on top of your gifts.  Anything three dimensional is always a hit and gives that extra special dose of love to a barren bag or box.

And of course last but not least.....

Just dreaming.....

Have an awesome day and get your creative juices flowing today.  Blessings.
